He received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Relations from Lehigh University. Mr. Salim is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. |

Prior to joining SID, Mr. Salim worked as a Research Coordinator with the Millennium Cities Initiative (MCI) at the Jeffery Sachs-led Earth Institute at Columbia University. At MCI, he conducted needs assessments on the designated millennium cities and analyzing whether these cites would be able to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015. He published two needs assessments on gender issues in Kisumu, Kenya and Kaduna Nigeria. |
